Group dog training
Our group dog training classes are held on Wednesday and Saturday mornings in Mendlesham and Westhorpe. The group dog training classes focus on showing you how to train your dog - gaining the dog's interest with praise, rewards and positive reinforcement.
The aims of our group dog training classes are that your dog will:
- respond to you and ignore distractions such as other dogs, people, livestock, farm machinery, etc.
- come back when called and not jump up or pull on the lead
You and your dog can then move on to more advanced exercises through progressive dog training.
One to One Dog Training
If you have a new puppy, one to one dog training can start in your home. We can address any behaviour issued you have with reward based games and exercises. You may then want to consider our group dog training classes
One to one dog training is also suitable if you want more advanced dog training, or wish to resolve a specific problem.
Residential Dog Training
When you go away, your dog can come for dog training sessions, rather than go into boarding kennels.
If you are struggling with a new dog or puppy, with residential dog training your dog will learn basic exercises and then you and your dog can progress in one to one training or group dog training.
Gundog Training
If your dog requires training to work in the shooting field, at the peg, beating line or picking up, we can help. After basic obedience and foundation exercises, we will develop your dog's instinct to hunt and retrieve. Your dog will be taught to respond to verbal recall and stop whistle in addition to verbal commands.
Gundog training is a gradual process, taking months of training.
Obedience Dog Training
If you have a new puppy and are unsure how to handle excessive barking, pulling on the lead when out for walks, jumping up to people - obedience dog training will help your dog become a happy family member. A simple dog training programme will give you the confidence to handle your puppy correctly and gain your dog's confidence.

A dog owner for over 30 years, Felicity has trained gundogs since 1990 and her German Shepherds and Labradors have competed in working trials. Having trained with some exceptional instructors and trainers, Felicity now runs her own dog training classes.
