Benson Blakes has a great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, amazing food and ... wait, this sounds too glowing doesn't it? Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything to dislike. When my partner and I visited we wanted to check out Britain's Best Pub Burger, and award BB's had just been given. Having just spent some time in Calgary AB, known for its world class beef, I was unsure of what to expect. The Benson Blake burger is exceptional! Cooked to perfection, juicy and rich in flavour. The night we were there, an acoustic duo were the live entertainment. Talented and different, right up my street! Speaking of streets, Benson Blakes happens to be on one of Bury's most exciting and fascinating routes, St John's Street. I forgot to mention the selection of beers available, and the samples of each that the bar staff provided. What great service! Benson Blakes puts St John's Street on the map and has become one of my favourite places to eat.
Lovely burgers, my husband could eat here every day. We tend to go there pretty much every week. I tried many burgers made my bb, they are all lovely, i really struggle to pick the best one. And the desserts are to die for. Staff always friendly and helpfull.
The burgers are out of this world and the rest of the food is great. An amazing selection of beers, spirits, wine and cocktails. Tim and his team are the best in town.

Amazing burgers for such good value. Great selection of gins too. Just get talking to Tim, the owner, and he will talk you through their vast selection. Yummy.

Dear Tim & everyone at the bar We just wanted to say a massive, massive THANK YOU for all your help at our recent wedding. You really went WAAAYYY above and beyond the call of duty, battking downpours, electricity failures, makeshift kitchens and sharp wildflowers up to your knees. Despite all the obstacles, the food was AMAZING and the bar service OUTSTANDING. We only wish we had been able to spend more time propping it up and tasting all those delicious cocktails..... it all went so fast. We really don't know how you did it so thank you so much. Tim, next time you are standing in the middle of a field deciding where to put a bar and someone says " I'm sure the weather will hold " you know what to do ....!
