Star Community CIC t/a Star Foundationis a registered Community Interest Company (CIC), that is 100% asset locked and regulated by The Regulator of Community Interest Companies. The foundation is looking to provide funding through campaigns and partnerships nationwide. These campaigns and initiatives are to generate funds so that young people are able enjoy a whole range of sporting and creative activities, including Music and the Arts in schools and community lead projects nationwide.Pete Tryner started working on the core values and principles of the foundation in 2008, it was during this period where research with government departments, schools, sports people, local charities and corporate partners was carried out to determine where the need and work in the UK was really needed.
Objectives
Through fundraising efforts, the Star Foundation wants to create a greater community spirit and sense of individual pride for the people involved. It's with this in mind that the majority of campaigns are community lead. The young people of our communities play an integral part in the future development of our regions, by involving them in the campaigns that will generate income into their own school or social centres. Through this we help to instil a sense of pride and self worth which in turn will encourage personal discipline and enhance community spirit.
Areas of help
The Foundation will concentrate on the underprivileged areas of our society, this includes all religions and minorities nationwide. The Foundation believes that no matter where you come from, what your beliefs are, or what your disabilities are, should you have any, we are all equal and one of many.

This is about optimising individual potential and about evolving a positive future. Through the collective efforts of the community, the funds generated will create new opportunities within sport, general exercise, and the arts for young people from a multitude of backgrounds. Again, this instils levels of confidence and self worth that enables them to aspire to a productive and positive future. Teamwork only works if the individuals concerned are true to themselves and those around them, creating a much greater social focus and awareness. As we are all aware, the lack of community support and facilities is a major factor in gang culture and violence.
