The food is very good, looks and tastes home made, the staff are friendly and helpful and the newly decorated restaurant is a huge improvement,. We will be back.
I visit the Manchester Inn frequently for their meals, as the food is always excellent. A very friendly staff makes for a wonderful atmosphere.

Not sure which planet many of your reviewers are onI ordered 2 lunchtime Turkey Roasts which took 50 minutes to arrive. The turkey was pre sliced and warmed up, the yorkshire pudding was incinerated and uneatable and the veges tasteless. The whole was covered in a sticky brown gravy which hung in glutinous strands from my fork. There was one waitress attempting to serve 19 diners including taking the orders for food and drinks, looking after the lounge bar and dealing with bills and payment. We did not bother with a sweet. On the good side the food was hot and the Bombadier bitter good. Ok the price was very cheap and I don't expect the earth but I can do better for the price at many local carveries I might be better to increase the price and the quality. Maybe I was just unlucky.

Excellent home cooked food and a friendly service.Last Tuesday the restaurant was opened just for myself and a friend. I love the fact that it's pet friendly, so rare. I also love that it's not a huge chain because it feels special.

I've just had a really good lunch at the Manchester Inn. Whoever is cooking just now is spot on. The veg soup was excellent and the gammon egg chips likewise. It may be simple fare but I was tired and hungry and was just the job! My wife equally enjoyed her fish combo with new potatoes. I have to say the chips were really homemade, not from a packet. Service and bar staff excellent.
