Just been for a meal for two (31/03/12) and all I can say is that it was great! Been to many pubs round the area and the warm welcome and great service made the meal a great experience.

This is a very nice pub with a traditional bar area.

The beer/real ale is excellent.

The food voucher on this site is not really offering members anything special as the same deal is available to any customer, so don't bother to print it.

There is a separate menu for this deal and our meal was not great. However, the usual menu did look a lot better.

I would love to sing the praises of Karen Firth and her team at The Hanbury Turn.

We had a lovely lunchtime meal there on Monday. Staff were friendly, even the Chef came out and had a chat, food was delicious.

Also, I would like to thank Karen for supporting our forthcoming Centenary Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Much appreciated in the current economic climate.

If you havn't paid Karen and her team a visit, then you have missed out on something special. Go a stranger and leave a friend :0)

I like The Hanbury Turn . . . it's easy to find and I've always managed to find a space to park.

A number of networking groups use the upstairs function room and it's really handy to then just pop downstairs and grab something to eat or drink.

There's been a number of nights we've adjourned to the bar and sat around 'putting the world to rights' and continuing the meeting on a more social level in their relaxed and welcoming bar.

And they do music nights too!

See you there soon.

I visited The Hanbury Turn on Monday for the first time as I am pretty new to the area. I had read up on it from your page and thought I'd give it a go.

I was NOT disappointed. Friendly Staff, EXCELLENT food and a cosy atmosphere.

I WILL DEFINITELY be returning again :0)

The Hanbury Turn is a nice local pub, definitely on the up since a change of manager. Beer quality and selection has definitely improved - three hand pumps on now! Recent choices have been Spitfire, Abbot, London Pride and Old Speckled Hen - they just need to improve the lager choice now, by dumping the Stella or Carling for a nicer one! Friendly and spacious, though would love to see something of a beer garden by next summer.

Have enjoyed many good meetings in the excellent function room upstairs. Parking just outside. Very friendly staff. Function room would make an excellent party venue.
