I have just received the below email from the group opposed to the new Sainsburys Superstore in Bromsgrove. Just thought I would open this up for debate on the forum. I'm gonna sit on the fence a bit with this one. I can see the benefits to the local economy with more jobs created and more traffic into the centre, but on the other hand it will really hurt some local businesses. I'd be interesting to know what other Bromsgrovians think.
"I represent the 'No Thanks' campaign opposed to a new Sainsbury's superstore in Bromsgrove. We believe it will dominate the local economy and undermine the small independent businesses that Bromsgrove needs to maintain its market town character."
