It's great to see that there are a few new businesses currently moving into the Strand Centre in Bromsgrove.  I popped in to visit one of the new businesses earlier this week.  Sharron has just opened 'Happy Feet - A Garra Rufa Fish Spa'.  I love seeing new shops opening locally, especially something a bit different like Happy Feet.  Sharron was very friendly and welcoming when I popped in so I offered to put a bit of info about her business on the blog, so here goes....

'Happy Feet offers you a pedicure with a difference'.  It is a unique, fun and natural way to produce healthy skin on your feet or hands.  It's suitable for all ages and is a great way to relax.

The health benefits are numerous.  Fish therapy has been used to treat dry skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema and dermatitis.'

What are Garra Rufa fish?

These fish are native to the fresh waters of the Far East, where they enjoy sucking and nibbling at stones.

What does it feel like?

It is like a vibration feeling which may tickle but only for the first few seconds.  The therapy is pain free as the fish have no teeth.

What does it cost?

£10.00 for 15 minutes (over 60's 15% off)
