Go ahead has been given to a massive refurbishment project, costing £1 million, at Bromsgrove Ryland centre.
With planning permission granted for the much anticipated revamp of the Ryland Centre, work is now expected to start next month. Funding has now been secured for the project.
The key feature of the refurbishment work is developing the athletics track and field areas currently used by youngsters, schools and leisure clubs, throughout the district.
Modern changing rooms are also to be installed with new ramps and hoists allowing better access for children with disabilities, enabling them to make better use of the centre’s facilities.
