The Eikon charity has 75 places available for the 2012 Nightrider event - a cycling challenge taking place in London on the weekend of the 9/10 June. It’s sure to be a fun-filled way to raise money for the charity, and has the added bonus of helping you to get fit and lose weight!
The 100 km bike ride will tour the capital's most famous landmarks, including Tower Bridge, London Eye and the Royal Albert Hall to name but a few, and if that's not exciting enough it will all be happening whilst the nation sleeps. Gareth Squire participated in the event last year and he said: “watching sunrise over London’s skyline was an unforgettable experience!”
To take part all you need to do is pay a registration fee of £39, and then pledge to raise a minimum of £175 in sponsorship for Eikon - a charity which helps young people and their families face difficulties in their lives.
Chris Hickford, Founding Director of the charity commented on the event's importance: “we heavily rely on support of the community to fund the work we do, so please do join our team on this unique and exciting event”
Cycling 100 km is no mean feat so you will need to train hard, so it's the perfect opportunity to get rid of the Christmas bulge, and what better way to stay motivated than doing it for charity!
