PETTS WOOD RUNNERS 10K RACE TO SUPPORT HARRIS HOSPISCARE
The third Petts Wood Runners 10k race will take place on Sunday 11 October.
His Worshipful the Mayor of Bromley, Cllr Auld will start the race at 10.30am at Willett Recreation Ground and the course will take in Jubilee Country Park, Hawkwood Estate and Petts Wood before finishing back at Willett Recreation Ground.
Runners are encouraged to raise sponsorship for local charity Harris HospisCare. Each runner will receive a medal for completing the course and trophies will be given in a number of categories, including the first Petts Wood resident to cross the finish line.
Local support includes an army of volunteers who will help marshal the event on the day and Sainsbury's stores in Locksbottom and Orpington who will supply energy boosting bananas to the runners.
Philippa Borland of the Petts Wood Runners said' "We are very excited to once again be supporting our local charity Harris HospisCare. The race is gaining in popularity year on year. Places are limited so please be sure to register quickly if you would like to take part. Spectators are welcome to line the course and encourage the runners on the route."
