A favourite local restaurant, especially on a Sunday. Our children love the roasts. Relaxed atmosphere and attentive service. We (Paul and Lynda from Baccarat hair salon) love taking friends there. The service is fantastic-as good (nearly!) as ours.

We are regulars at Rascasse and we are never dissapointed! The food will give any London Top restaurant a run for its money and not for half as much, would definately give this restaurant a go!

Always a worry when you take friends to somewhere unknown but La Racasse lived up to its reveiws. The food was excellent, we all had different fish dishes and all were cooked superbly. The deserts were sublime and the 15 minute wait (shown on menu) for the specials was worth it. It's not silly money and we will definitely be back! A genuine find.

La Rascasse is a really nice restaurant. Went for a meal a few weeks ago and it was lovely - good service and a welcoming atmosphere.

I'd recommend La Racasse for an enjoyable evening out - it's not too expensive either.

My boyfriend and I went to La Rascasse for dinner as it was our anniversary and I have to say I was impressed. The food was great but the relaxed bar was where we really had a nice time.

The atmosphere was lovely and we were able to sit and have a chat over a couple of bottles of really good wine. That’s the splendid thing about La Rascasse – there’s such a good wine menu and the staff know what to recommend.

First visit. We found the food, wine and staff were all first class. The table had been booked earlier that day and although it was a Thursday I reckon we were lucky. I would recommend booking to avoid disappointment. The menu is wide and varied and covers all tastes. One of our party was a veggie and really enjoyed her meal. The front of house staff were very helpful and quick. Nothing was too much trouble. The food arrived hot and well presented. It was tasty including the sides which I find at times can let down an otherwise good meal. We opted to try the Argentinian Malbec , which was excellent and reasonably priced. The puddings are to die for!
The decor was pleasent and if I could find a point to grumble about it was the "busy cross roads" just outside the kitchen and on the route to the toilets. No accidents on my night but I suspect there have been a few.
No hesitation in giving 5 stars. We will be back.

First visit to La Rascasse, enjoyed a lovely meal of goats cheese tart and calamari, followed by the cod and sea bass. Good portion sizes and very good value for money. Service was friendly, although venue is small so some waiters need to take a little more care when passing tables to avoid brushing past diners. That said I would definitely recommend and certainly plan to visit again.

La Rascasse, Beckenham. It was quiet on Monday evening, as there were only a few tables occupied, but we were made to feel welcome. The decor is traditional in dark colours, and our table was in the window (not a great view of the road outside, but better when it got dark!). Service was at the right speed, neither too fast nor slow, and we found that the fixed price menu gave us a good choice. The food was very good, and we appreciated the excellent choice of wines. It was good value for money.

La Rascasse is always a winning choice for me, the service is friendly and efficient, the food delicious and wine list is varied and affordable. Great neighbourhood restaurant, only down side is the crowd of smokers from the bar lingering outside the door as you leave..

La Rascasse in Beckenham high st is easy to find. We found the service friendly and the place filled up quickly giving more ambience but more noise as well. The set menu represents good value. I had a seafood cassolet for entree that was spicier than I expected but still very flavoursome. The place seems like a local institution and very popular.

Good value for money. We had the two courses for £16.50 but options for Vegetarians was not so good. Waiting staff can be a bit over familiar but friendly none the less. Main meal came directly after first course. A little more time between courses would have been appreciated. Overall though an enjoyable experience.

Went to La Rascasse in Beckenham, Kent. Food was excellent, although initially disappointed that my first choice was unavailable. However the duck was really tasty and well presented, My partner thoroughly enjoyed his Rib of Beef too. We had Lime Panacotta for dessert which was a little sharp/ The waitress was friendly and very efficient (working alone!) The atmosphere was very pleasant and very comfortable. Overall we were very impressed and will be returning soon to try the Sunday Lunch.

La Rascasse Beckenham Our 16 year old wanted a steak for his birthday meal - the chateaubriand was excellent. His brother declared the creme brulee to be the best he had ever eaten. Good service, nice atmosphere.

Although quiet on a Saturday lunchtime, the service was very friendly, and food was of the usual high quality at La Rascasse - the fillet steak was wonderfully soft and very rare. Have been to this restaurant many times over the years, so to pay 25% less for the food was a bonus.

la Rascassse in Beckenham on a Friday night is buzzing. The service was exemplary and the menu imaginative. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you like fish dishes. The scallops were cooked to perfection. Would suggest going earlier in the week for a romantic dinner for two, as the tables with birthday celebrations were quite noisy on the night. But overall lovely meal, good sized portions... you won't go home hungry.

We went to La Rascasse on a Thursday evening and the atmosphere was lively and pleasant. We had opted for the two course set meal which we were very pleased with. Our starters were delicious (prawn curry in a spicy coconut cream and duck salad). Portion sizes were generous but we still managed to find space for the tempting desserts! A great meal.

Went for a family birthday lunch at La Rascasse, Beckenham. The service was brilliant with friendly staff who were very knowledgeable about what was on the menu and good recommendations. Food was amazing and was worth every penny even without the 25% discount. Good selection of wines available too. Décor was warm and inviting. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again soon!

Its the second time ive had the seafood platter and it amazes me still for sheer volume and value. Oysters were great and the rib eye steak was juicy and tender and moist and tasty and well seasoned. Staff are excellant and the adjacent bar is pretty cool for before/after drinks. "Best seafood platter this side of the river

Had a lovely lunch in this relaxing but quite intimate, tastefully decorated french restaurant. The food is well prepared and beautifully presented. They have an excellent and reasonably priced wine list. The staff are both friendly and professional. If you like good, reasonably priced food and you live in or around the Beckenham area I would definitely recommend that you give La Rascasse a try.

Another lovely meal in Beckenham's La Rascasse. Great atmosphere, delicious specials, friendly and efficient service and a top wine list (that doesn't start at £30!). Set special menu (3 courses for £19.90) also seemed good value..

We had lunch in La Rascasse on a quiet Monday. The calamari starter was well cooked and tasty and there was a plentiful supply of good french baguette. I had the unusual plat de jour, which was a thai chicken laksa, and my other half had the catch of the day, cod. Both were again well cooked and tasty. A nice bottle of anakena sauvignon blanc, and chatty service from Jayne rounded off an enjoyable experience

Best restaurant in Beckenham in my view. Good range of fish and meat dishes on the menu and enjoyed a very good set menu on Wednesday night which was great value. Service was very good on this occasion, although has been a little slow when very busy at weekends on previous visits.
