Anyone who shops at Waitrose will be very much aware of their Community Matters token scheme.

For those of you who aren't fully in the know, here's a quick guide... Each month 3 local charities are nominated by local people to receive a donation from Waitrose. Each branch across the country donates £1000 (£500 for convenience shops), shared across the 3 nominated charities.

Since its launch in 2008, the scheme has donated £14 million to local charities chosen by you.

And this month, we're delighted that Bromley Mencap is one of those chosen charities for the Bromley South branch.

The donation process is simple: at the end of your shop in branch, you receive a token to place in a box of the good cause you’d most like to support. The more tokens a cause gets, the bigger the donation they receive.

So help support one of our local charities as part of your weekly shop.

Simply select the Bromley Mencap box for your green token - the more they get, the more funds are raised for this incredibly worthy cause.
