Alliance Boots’ Director of CSR to speak at IMS Sustainable Business Breakfast
The first IMS Sustainable Business Breakfast of 2012 will be held on 7th February and we are delighted to welcome Richard Ellis, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at Alliance Boots Group as our guest speaker.
The event will focus on ‘Creating and Developing a Successful Sustainability Strategy’ and Richard will be discussing the importance of sustainability to Alliance Boots and how it is managed across their different businesses, looking specifically at:
• How data and information is collected and how they share examples of best practice.
• How the sustainability agenda has helped build trust in their brand.
• How this has consequently enhanced the profitability of Alliance Boots
The monthly events are run by Bristol-based IMS Consulting, a consultancy that advises organisations on their sustainability strategies and how to engage with their key stakeholders. They are held on the first Tuesday of every month and offer an opportunity to:
• Learn more about the three aspects of sustainability through key note speeches from the commercial, academic and governmental worlds
• Experience best practice examples of successful sustainable business in Bristol
• Take action on sustainability issues in the region through insightful discussion sessions – this is more than just a talking shop
• Network with large and influential organisations in the region
We will also be running a special promotion in February, giving SBB members the opportunity to bring along a friend for free.
