Had a great time producing easter chocolates, my family couldn't believe that I had made them! A really fun, educational and rewarding experience with the bonus of taking home such beautiful chocolate. The three hours went so fast, you can't fail to enjoy. Buying some vouchers for my mum to experience!
We had a fabulous time learning new skills and eating delicious chocolate, what could be better? By the end of the morning we had produced an array of beautiful chocolates to take home, perfect gifts for Easter including a lovely big Easter egg. Lisa was so friendly and helped to make the time so special, I can't imagine anyone not loving it.
We had a fabulous morning in Lisa's cosy and welcoming kitchen, enjoying a completely new experience: that of chocolate crafting. We were gently and expertly guided through a number of techniques including rolling truffles, 'enrobing' marzipan, and decorating moulded chocolates. We came away laden with extremely professional looking products all gift wrapped and ready for Easter (except we ate most of it within a week!). We would whole heartedly recommend this experience to both individuals or groups.
My husband and I attended the 3 hour course with Lisa and we had an amazing time!!! We learned so much and yet didn't realise it as we were having so much fun. Lisa is one of the nicest people I've ever met and she makes you feel like her friend. We couldn't believe how much chocolate we went home with and how professional it all looked. This is the best present you could give to yourself or someone else. Just be prepared to smile the whole way through!!!
Having been to The Chocolate Tart more than three times I would recommend it as a lovely day out or a great place to meet up with a friend and make chocolates whilst catching up!
A great place for a fun event! We were a group of 10 girls and spent a great time at the Chocolate Tart making handmade beautiful filled chocolate boxes (mine is going to be a Christmas Present!). It would be a great gift for that 'hard to buy for' person in your life.
Wow, what a great day. A really fun three hours, but didn't the time fly? Before I knew it, I was wrapping and boxing a wealth of goodies just in time for Christmas. I learnt a huge amount, and had a wonderful time doing it. Will I come again? most definately, next time with the children so we can all join in. great experience, great conversation, great value, great day; thank you so much. I made chocolate with a young lady who has cooked for the queen!
Thank you for a very enjoyable 3 hours - as someone who loves chocolate, this was my idea of heaven - I enjoyed every minute! I was pleasantly surprised at how many chocolates I was able to make in the time (with plenty of opportunity for tasting too), and how attractive (if a little lumpy and irregular!) they looked. My husband certainly appreciated my efforts! Well worth the drive down the M5 from Gloucester, thank you.
A delightful way to spend a saturday morning being creative with my daughter, both of us self confessed chocoholics! Lisa our chocolatier was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and above all gave us clear fool proof instructions which enabled us both to come away with a selection of beautifully presented chocolates that would not look out of place in any high street shop, which is extremely surprising considering my cookery skills are much to be desired!. She is clearly passionate about chocolate and easy to chat to and have a giggle with. The chocolate is of an exceptional standard with a lovely deep chocolaty flavour. Chocolate Heaven!
Just to say a massive thank you for a wonderful morning on Friday. I speak for us all when I say that it was the most entertaining, tasty and productive couple of hours we have ever had! Can't believe that we made so much and made it look so professional too. However, I am well aware that the only reason we managed so much was thanks to your careful advance preparation, so thanks to you for a very well organised and inspirational day. (My husband would also like to thank you - he is especially fond of his jelly baby knackerli but his allocation is being strictly rationed ....)
I just wanted to let you know we had a fabulous time on Saturday afternoon. Everyone was in agreement that it was an excellent session in chocolate making. I am sure you will probably find that you used more chocolate than normal - as they all kept licking and eating and washing. Everyone was very proud with their products, most products not making it all the way home. Once again thank you and good luck for your future business, we will certainly all recommend you to future hens.
Just a quick note to say thank you for the great class yesterday. I learned a ton - had no idea I would come home with so much chocolate (score!) - and enjoyed the whole experience very much. Tried a couple of pieces this morning and they are delish. Will be back in touch for other classes when I am in the area.
I did the one hour course a couple of Sundays ago. The tuition was clear and demonstrations easy to follow. The task and pace were excellent in fact I could not believe how long the hour seemed to last. At the end we ( a group of five students) had each made a cylindrical chocolate box with a chocolate lid complete with transfers. We rolled truffle filling in the palm of our hands each one twice so they were well covered in the very moorish chocolate. The completed truffles were foil covered, placed in a cellophane bag and popped inside the chocolate box. This was then placed inside a cellophane box and tied with ribbon. Brilliant activity and good value too.
Have just got home from a very enjoyable 2 hours with The Chocolate Tart! Very relaxed atmosphere, have just spent 2 hours with 4 complete strangers yet it felt as though we were all friends, Lisa is a very calm, patient tutor who explains things clearly and with obvious knowledge. Time flew too quickly and I was left wanting to do more.
Brilliant day out, in great company. Well done Lisa. This was my second visit and can't wait to be back again. Very knowledgeable.
Wonderful way to spend a few hours. This was my second visit . Lisa is a brilliant hostess, met some lovely people there too.
Most enjoyable afternoon. We learned a whole set of new skills, had fun, and came away with a big bag of different types of chocolate we had made ouselves.
This was a great birthday present and my daughter really enjoyed it too. Lisa's absolutely lovely and really knows her stuff. We had over 3 delightful hours of making chocolate and were allowed to taste them as we went along, which I surely did! 'Absolutely amazing' said my daughter who learnt such a lot and even went home to make some of her own. We would certainly recommend The Chocolate Tart to any chocolate lover or those new to the art. Thank you Lisa we really enjoyed our afternoon.
Thank you so much Lisa for a really wonderful morning! My mother and I attended a course just a few days ago and each left with 7 beautiful boxes of chocolates that we had made - I am so proud of myself! The course was both professional with lots of great tips as well as fun. I am no longer scared of tempering chocolate as you made it seem so easy and uncomplicated. Your attention to detail was so impressive and I loved the way that you made us all focus on our wrapping and presentation too. I really feel that I learnt a new skill - never again will I be buying chocolates to give friends (unless they are yours of course!)
Well what can I say.......... We truly had such a fantastic time the other day so thank you so much. a wonderful cookery course, especially before christmas. Thoroughly recommend this to all family and friends'. Would like to give you a big thank you on behalf of myself, my daughter, sister-in-law, and friend . We had such a good time. The course was run smoothly and efficiently 3 hours just whizzed by. Lovely to be greeted with a nice glass of wine/elderflower which was constantly topped up if you so desired. Everything was beyond our expectations. Unbelievable the amount of good quality chocolate all beautifully packaged was amazing. A lovely treat which we will do again soon. Thank you.
Thanks Lisa for such an enjoyable morning learning how to make the most amazing selection of chocolates. Both myself and my 2 daughters found the course both educational and fun. We haven't stopped telling our friends and sharing the yummy chocolates which we so beautifully packaged to bring home. We will definitely book another course soon.
Really fantastic would definitely recommend this! Lots of fun and I learnt loads. thank you Lisa it was a super 3hours
I attended the 3 hour workshop as a birthday present from my husband. It was a small and sociable group, Lisa is fantastic, a great teacher and host. I have already put my new skills to test and I'm looking forward to find a reason to go back for another course... Christmas maybe?! Very highly recommended, and well worth the money!
My sister & I attended a 3 hour course on chocolate making and it was brilliant. We could eat as much as we wanted, were offered wine or soft drinks too. We produced gorgeous looking chocolates and everyone at home thoroughly enjoyed them too!! This is a must for all chocolate lovers, totally recommended. Lisa was a very attentive teacher and answered all of our questions - absolutely brilliant experience. I feel confident enough now to make the favours for my neice's wedding in September.
The Chocolate Tart lesson was one of the best presents I have been given! It had a friendly atmosphere, I learned about the chocolate making process and most importantly I could eat and make loads of chocolate! AMAZING! I have recommended it to friends already. Definately give it a try!
