Severnshed Restaurant - Bristol restaurants Testimonials

We had initially looked in at a restaurant beside this one, but we found the menu rather uninteresting and so rather randomly stumbled into Severnshed. The service was great, they made room for us, and were very caring in checking up on us at our table (and there were a lot of people there that night). The atmosphere is great, music going on in the background with happy chatter coming from all the tables. We had 3 small plates to share as a starter; these was rather uninteresting, not bad, but not great either. We then had fish and chips and that was really good (always being checked up on by the waiters, kindly giving us ketchup etc.). The batter was great on the fish, the chips were crispy, I have no complaints about the main course. Although we all felt full after the main dish, the dessert list was very tempting. We all shared their 'Belgian Chocolate Fondue'. We are from Belgium so it always entertains us to taste things advertised as 'Belgian Chocolate', but we are normally very disappointed. However, this dessert was just D-E-licious. The fondue was a great chocolate (not too sweet), and it was served with strawberries, bananas, marshmallows and waffle pieces. I would recommend that dessert to anyone. The smoothies were also scrumptious. All-in-all, we had a very enjoyable evening.
