Consistently Good, I have visited this restaurant many times and have never had to wait to be seated. However I would be more than prepared to wait fifteen minutes for the excellent food which they serve. Try the Nepalese dishes for a different taste to the normal Indian dishes.
Whilst it's location is great for anything in town, or at the Colston Hall particularly, the exterior is pretty scabby. DO NOT LET THAT PUT YOU OFF! The interior of the restaurant is wonderfully ornate and a change from the normal Indian fare. As for the food, I had a duck curry and it was delicious, along with what my family had which was also sublime (lamb rogan josh and lobster massall I believe). The service was good too, despite a couple of the other reviews on here. Also, I know it's an odd thing to say, but the poppadoms and chutneys were the best I've ever had. Along with the Kathmandu lager that I cannot recommend highly enough, this place is great. The only thing I could not work out was why some of the Nepalese speciality dishes were sea bass, when it's got to be one of the landlocked countries in the world. But anyway, go there, soon!
