Currently the only independent comedy venue in Bristol meaning it attracts more interesting acts (you'll find more mainstream comics at Colston Hall, The Hippodrome etc)
Parking is a bit of a nightmare, which is my only downer.
I've had a few good nights here so recommend it.

Been there before for a quick drink? You haven’t really been to the Hen and Chicken before unless you’ve sat in the front row on one of the Comedy Nights on the floor above. With both national and International talent, this place tends to get packed out quite quickly. Seating is by table and you will be assigned a table number on a big night. The tickets are fairly expensive but then again, it is one of the better comedy venues in Bristol. There’s even a small bar upstairs serving the audience.

Despite the comedy box being a little bit out of town itʼs well worth heading to Bedminster, set in a great pub (Hen and Chickens) recently refurbished with great food. Intimate and friendly, seen some amazing comedians there!!!
