With a demographic that ranged from a 2 year old to a 72 year old, this was a fantastic day out. Whilst Thomas is out doing his stuff there are troublesome trucks being shunted in front of the station. I thought the Fat Controller looked pretty trim! The only constraint on the day was the queue for the face-painting which isn`t a reflection on Avon Valley Railway enthusiasts at all. Climate-change cynics will enjoy the adjacent grafitti on the bike path blaming global-warming on a small, blue engine from Sodor. Many thanks for a wonderful day out.

I organised an outing to Bath and the Avon Valley railway for 48 members of Yarnton WI and their partners/friends. The railway company arranged for us to be met in Bath and have our exclusive use of a boat to take us onan hour's journey on the river Avon, then we were taken to Bitton for a nostalgic ride on the Railway. Afterwards we were given a lovely cream tea in a static carriage by the side of the railway. This was all for a very reasonable charge. Our members thoroughly enjoyed it. A very good day out. Highly recommended.
