Pelham House named as a finalist in awards for excellence
A leading Sussex hotel is in the running for a Beautiful South Award thanks to its high level of customer service and commitment to the local community.
Pelham House Hotel in Lewes has been chosen as a finalist in the Small Hotel category of The Beautiful South awards, with the winners to be announced in December.
Abi Stevenson, Business Development Manager at Pelham House Hotel, said: “To be shortlisted for this award is a great achievement for our staff who work so hard throughout the year to give the best service possible.
“We aim to provide our guests with a unique experience enhanced not only by the beautiful surroundings of the South Downs National Park, but also from our carefully planned art exhibitions in our hotel and gardens.
“Working with the local community is also very important to us and we actively support local businesses by selling their produce at the hotel, offer work experience placements to schools in Lewes and get involved with charities and community events – providing sponsorship to annual events, including the Thomas Paine festival.”
The Beautiful South Awards look for excellence in all aspects of hospitability business including sustainability, customer service, staff training, marketing, accessibility and business development.
Winners will be announced at a ceremony at Denbies English Vineyard, near Dorking on December 1.
Pelham House is a four-star hotel and restaurant, situated only ten minutes away from Brighton. The 16th Century townhouse boasts 31 boutique-themed bedrooms and is famous for its art exhibitions and varied collection of sculptures and paintings.
