Finding Grace is shining a light for women who have a story to tell that will inspire others. Lend me your face and let me tell your story and be part of something extraordinary called Finding Grace.
Behind every face there is a story. To tell that story and to see yourself as others see you takes courage. Finding Grace is a gift to all women who want to come face to face with themselves move forward, and in doing so inspire many others.
In the last few years I have met, photographed and listened to so many amazing stories from women who have, achieved great things, accomplished, overcome, survived and broken. In spite of each personal challenge the story is the same, they have found the inner strength and courage to move forward with life. Finding Grace was born out of these stories and some of my own personal experiences.
My Goal is to take 1000 portraits in 1,000 days and in doing so raise £25,000 for the Rainbow Trust Childens Charity.
This year, the Rainbow Trust celebrates its 25th anniversary. Founded in 1986, they have now supported thousands of families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness.
Each Portrait session costs £50, £25 of which will go straight to the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity via Just Giving go to www.justgiving.com/findinggrace
Liggy’s Story
Life is what you make it
My life has so far been a rich tapestry of complex emotion. I have experienced the giddy heights of ecstasy and the depths of despair. There are times when I have dangled over the edge of the abyss believing that there is no point of return . I have however pulled away from the edge each time and I know so much of that is about keeping the faith and believing that despite everything .....it is still beautiful world with so much possibility.
Through my travels with the United Nations as an international consultant , my speaking to incredibly diverse audiences and most of all my books I want to help others to improve the quality of their lives . Life I believe is what you make it and even though we may not be able to change our circumstances we can have total control about how we choose to react to everything .
Pain merely teaches us to appreciate pleasure and appreciating what we have and counting our blessings one by one every day of our lives is a great place to start . My blessings are my family and friends who are the charming gardeners who feed my soul and I thank everyone of them for making me the person I am and helping me to believe in myself. I am a person in progress who does the best that I can with who I am and what I have.
Live every day as if it is your first and love with a big open and compassionate heart is my personal motto.
