The Windmill Dental Practice of Brighton and Hove are dentists offering the very best professional dental care that will put a smile on your face.
At the Windmill Dental Practice we use the very latest dental equipment and techniques and take every care to ensure you receive the best treatment possible.
Your first appointment
You will be asked to fill out a brief medical history form. This helps ensure that before we examine your mouth, we are aware of any important medical factors that could affect treatment. We will discuss any important factors raised.
At your first appointment we will discuss your concerns about your mouth. Digital intra-oral cameras are used to allow you to see what the dentist sees. We will carry out an extensive examination with any appropriate x-rays, photographs and models. This ensures that we have enough information to be able to produce a treatment plan and cost estimate for any further treatment visits.
If you are interested in cosmetic dentistry to improve the appearance of your teeth this can also be discussed and we will give our opinion of the options that are available.
Total Oral Care
We hope to be able to develop a long lasting relationship with our patients. Most people see their dentist more than any other healthcare professional. This creates trusting relationships and helps us to adopt a preventative care approach through advice and monitoring. If problems are identified, solutions will be proposed and discussed. A treatment plan and costs will always be provided.
Teeth Whitening
Many people would like their teeth to be whiter. Windmill Dental Practice is able to offer two solutions to gain a brighter and whiter smile. We will be able to provide advice on the suitability of these treatments for your teeth.
Bleaching
Bleaching is the most common form of teeth whitening. Using a rubber shield to protect your gums the bleaching agent is then applied to the teeth.
Laser Whitening
Alternatively you can have laser treatment. A rubber shield is put over your gums to protect them. A bleaching product is then painted onto the teeth. Finally a laser is shone on to the area to speed up the chemical reaction with the whole process only taking an hour.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Our dental team are only too happy to offer information and advice on treatments that could improve your confidence, self esteem and even your career prospects. Cosmetic dentistry is more reliable, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing than ever before. You may want to simply replace any unsightly silver fillings or radically improve your smile. Windmill Dental Practice can provide help and advice, whatever your cosmetic needs.

A veneer is a thin layer of porcelain that is individually made to fit over the front of a tooth. These can be used to easily change the shape and colour of a tooth.

Bridges
A bridge is used where a tooth a missing. The teeth either side of the space are crowned with a false tooth within the space. Bridges are made within a dental laboratory and are then fitted by the dentist.

People who ask about smile improvement do so because they want to improve the appearance of their mouth. It is amazing how much confidence you can gain by having a bright, white and straight smile.
We will discuss with you your needs and then present the options to you. This may be a simple as a session of whitening or it could involve cosmetic dentistry to change the shape and appearance of your teeth.
