Poets Corner Nursery located near Hove station a family style nursery, enabling you to leave with confidence, knowing that your child is happy, safe and learning. For children aged three months to five years. After school pick-ups at lunchtime and afternoon from St Andrew's School, for four to seven year olds.

Poets' Corner Nursery is a Neighbourhood Nursery  located in Hove which is part of The Government Childcare Initiative.

A maximum of nine Tiddlers (3 - 20 mths) will be cared for by four Nursery Nurses. Once your child is mature enough to join the Tumblers, usually at about 20 mths, they will be placed with the group of up to ten under 3 year olds. They will have three Nursery Nurses to care for them. Around their 3rd birthday they will join the Toppers (ratio 1:8) with a more organised day, gently preparing them for school.

There is a certain amount of flexibility between these groups and children of different ages spend time together in the spacious outside area.

Poets Corner Nursery comprises 7 separate areas:

• The Tiddlers’ rooms; Cosy room and Play room
• The Outdoor area; which everyone uses at some time
• The Tumblers’ room ; for the tumblers
• The Toppers' rooms; Busy Bay and messy play area
• The Big Toy room ; for imaginative and physical play

Before children move from group to group discussions are held with parents / carers. Familiarisation sessions are organised to make sure the ‘move up’ is the correct decision.

The Nursery  is open from 7.30am to 7pm.
