Last year I went to the Foodies Festival, but before going I was a bit reluctant. I had few questions in mind: - Is it going to be similar to the Brighton and Hove food and drink festival market? - What kind of traders will be there? - What about the weather? As a food and drink and cooking lover, I decided to go with my partner. We went on the Sunday and Monday. We were lucky that on those two days the weather was absolutely brilliant, it was hot and sunny!! A proper spring weather that made the day start really well! On this good start, when entering the festival there were lots of traders, colours, smells, and general happiness all around. We first started to do a round and look at all stalls, tasting samples, talking to traders, taking pictures and making mental notes of what food to try! There was so much attractive food that it was hard making a choice, we decided to buy one and share and then another one and share it so we could get to try as many dishes as possible! Fishy Fishy had a really nice crab sandwich, Jamie’s was selling an amazing pulled lamb and potatoes plate with a delicious salsa verde. Really nice cheese snacks in the shape of ravioli. We also had an amazing pulled pork with with apple sauce and lots of crackling, the pork were being roasted in front of you and you could see this crackling skin! I would have had it all!! I have to be honest the food I tried on that Sunday that remains in my mind the most, I think I can nearly still taste it, it was a brazilian beef barbecue. There was a stand where this man was slow braising these big pieces of beef. He was slicing them finely and serving them in a burger or on its own with some garnish! Oh my god it was absolutely finger licking! We had it on the Sunday and when on the Monday we wanted to have it again, he had sold out! Their name was not obvious so I do not remember their but I would just go back to the Foodies festival just hoping he will be there again and have his braised beef again!

We enjoyed our visit to the Foodies festival last year. Unfortunately we arrived too late to book into any chef's masterclasses and some winetasting but we loved chatting to the stall holders and tasting their food and drinks. It's a fun day out for all the family and even better when the sun is shining :)

Great Festival. Enjoyable for all that love food and even better for those that like to cook. Drink Locally made Cider on a hay bale or taste gourmet food in the many pop up restaurants , or take a masterclass with a well known chef. Great day for all the family.

I visited the show last year with my friend and had a lovely fun day out. Although the weather was cold and it rained on or off, we still had a really good time visiting all the various food and drink stalls. We especially liked the Coole Swan stand and the popcorn was good too. We visited the Elemis spa bus and tried out few beauty products too, and hope the bus returns this year. I would definitely recommend going to this Food Festival for a great day out, just hope the weather improves for this year!

This festival is well worth a visit. Not only is it a great opportunity to enjoy a veritable Smorgasbord of food and drink on your doorstep but also a chance to see top chefs in action. When we went it was a lovely sunny day - here's hoping for the same this year! - and that helped contribute to the lively, fiesta like atmosphere with fun for all.

Can thoroughly recommend this event, for a start the weather was fabulous! We went on the Friday & it wasn't too busy so there was plenty of room to see everything, wander around tasting fabulous food & some surprisingly tasty alcohol too - came away with much more than we anticipated, honey rum & Irish cream along with knife sharpeners, sauces, olives, cheese etc.yes etc! The food shows were great too, we watched Lloyd Grossman & Mama Cherri - fun, foodie & fabulous. Add it to your calendar - it's a must!

The foodie festival lived up to my expectations. What better way to spend a Sunday than the sun shining, a beer and singing along to elvis and Marilyn!! Had a great time and hoping that this year the Coole swan stall will be there again as I find £21.00 in John Lewis a bit steep!!
