BNI Hove Albion is a business support and networking group based in Brighton and Hove. It is a highly effective networking group that meets once a week to exchange business referrals between members.
What is BNI?
BNI is a 22 year old business and professional organisation that allows only one person from each trade or profession to join a chapter. With over 5,010 active chapters, and 103,607 members, it is the most successful business referral organisation in the world.
Belonging to BNI is like having dozens of sales people working for you because all the other members carry copies of your card with them. When they meet someone new that could use your products or services they hand out your card and personally recommend your services.
Last year members of BNI passed 5,500,000 referrals, which generated more than €1.65 billion worth of business.
BNI Hove Albion Chapter
BNI Hove Albion members are made up of local businesses from in-and-around the Brighton and Hove area. During day-to-day business they actively try and identify business for other members. Think of it like having over 30 sales people promoting your business by word-of-mouth. They then meet over breakfast every week and pass business between members.
The key to their success is that BNI Hove Albion only allow one representative from each trade or profession, so once you become a member you lock out your competitors, giving you a distinct advantage.
We are a very active chapter and have recently picked up some awards from BNI UK

Giver's Gain
It is a farming rather than a hunting environment based on a principle of Giver’s Gain – if I give you business you will want to give me business in return.
It is a question of learning more about the work of your fellow members enabling you to listen out for suitable opportunities for their organisations.
These opportunities are then passed around the group as qualified referrals, so that you can pick up the phone and talk to someone who not only needs your services but is also expecting your call.
Where do they meet?
BNI Hove Albion meets weekly every Wednesday morning from 6:45 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. at the The Courtlands Hotel, The Drive, Hove.
The business networking meeting is held over breakfast for which there is a minimal charge, where they pass business referrals between members. The meetings are held early to minimise disruption to your working day.
