This family run picture framing and photograph framing services business is on South Street just opposite the museum and handy for the car park behind the Bridport Tourist Information Centre.
Paul Boyland, a former joiner, his wife Ginette and son Andrew, took over the reins in October 2006. Since then they’ve made their mark on Bridport’s art world by offering customers high quality framing services for every type of picture.. Clients can pretty much choose what ever style of framing they want and if it’s not in stock or readily obtainable from a framing supplier, then Paul will use his carpentry skills and create the perfect picture or photo frame. Proper mounting can be key to enhancing the picture framing process and Paul is skilled at this too.
As well as framing services the shop sells framed prints of well-known Bridport landmarks such as Colmers Hill and the harbour at West Bay and framed pictures and prints by local artists like Robert Dennis.
Paul is an accomplished artist and his own pictures are for sale along with many others depicting West Dorset’s coast and country scenery. The family is keen to lend support to Bridport’s art community.

i took three large canvases by a young local artist into PB. I was a little anxious in that they were so unlike anything I saw displayed in the store and I felt perhaps I might have come to the wrong place for my specific needs. How wrong I was. Four of us studied the canvases forensically and we were eventually steered by the framer into making absolutely perfect choices for each painting which were all very different in mood.. He advised us on size of mounts, colours of frame and mounts, and he even advised us on, and executed, a frayed edge to one of the pictures which balanced the picture perfectly. These were all creative decisons made by him and everything we decided, on having been guided by him, was an unqualified success. The gentleman has a wonderful ʼeyeʼ and I shall definitely use him again
