The Wallbridge family have farmed the West Dorset land in Hooke for four generations and for 30 years Pauline has run their self- catering holiday accommodation in the village just nine miles from Bridport and the Jurassic Coast. “Rural West Dorset is special” she says. “People find so much magic- like the brightness of the stars - because there is so little light pollution.”

Pauline has two properties available for self-catering holidays. Both sleep eight/nine people and are Tourist Board rated four stars. The Old Coach House is a mellow stone cottage whilst Orchard End is a bungalow. Both have large gardens, BBQ facilities and are fully equipped to a high standard. “You want to know that everything’s there on a self-catering holiday,” continues Pauline. “Towels and linen, cooking utensils as well as TV, DVD, CD etc.”
She prides herself on personal service. Pauline is on hand before and during your holidays to offer advice on what to see near Bridport and around West Dorset, give directions to pubs in nearby Powerstock and Beaminster and to make her guests welcome on the farm to watch the milking.
