Co-owner Marilyn Cobb says, “We’re known as an Aladdin’s Cave! Make a wish for a lamp here and you’re in luck. People rarely leave without finding exactly what they’re looking for.”
Small, yet beautifully stocked
The Bridport Lighting Centre is small, yet beautifully stocked to the gunnels with electric lights, lamps, bathroom light fittings, art deco designs, outside lighting, children’s novelty lamps and nightlights, standard lamps, table lamps……. shades, bulbs, low energy, obscure.......the list goes into hundreds of items.

The shop, on Bridport’s South St, has been run for the last three years by Marilyn and her husband, David. “We do our best by our customers,” says Marilyn. “David and I attend the annual Light Show at the NEC in Birmingham each year. It is a great opportunity to see what’s new for retailers and check out styles and lighting trends.”

- Easy access. Parking in the large car park behind the Bridport Tourist Information Centre on South St.
- Open 9.30am to 5pm every day except Sundays and Thursdays
