The Habit Restaurant & Bar is situated on the famous East Castle Street in Bridgnorth with views of St. Marys Church. It is next door to The Cliff Railway Station and a mere stone’s throw away from the beautiful Castle Walk overlooking the Severn Valley.
Inside, you’ll find a relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, modern décor, a selection of the days newspapers, and WiFi – not forgetting of course the wide variety of food and drink to tempt you.
The Habit is a proud member of The Heart of England Fine Foods, and sources all produce from other Heart of England members, or local producers of quality food and drink. Wenlock Water, Shropshire Cheese, Bridgnorth Beef are just a few examples you’ll find here – in fact anything not sourced locally is homemade.
Whether you just want a leisurely coffee served with homemade chocolates; or a full 3 course Traditional Roast (Sunday only); or a selection of snacks to enjoy with a glass of wine – you should get into The Habit!

The extensive food and drink selection covers pretty much everything you could desire:
Tapas & Snacks Menu – Daily (all day)
With an interesting selection of Tapas and other snacks & salads available all day; you can enjoy a small (or large) snack with your drinks at any time.
Lunch – Monday to Saturday (12-3pm)
A wide selection of homemade sandwiches along with starters & snacks, salads, main courses and side dishes.
Dinner – Monday to Saturday (6-10pm)
The ‘daily specials’ on the blackboard are complemented by a tempting selection of starters, main courses and accompaniments.
Sunday Lunch (12-3pm)
Sunday wouldn’t be the same without a Traditional Roast and of course, The Habit only use local meats roasted to perfection. For those wanting other options, you will find a good selection of alternative snacks, starters, salads and main courses.
All of our menu’s offer vegetarian options, and children are offered a special menu of their favourite dishes - all homemade and all free from artificial preservatives / additives or any other nasties!
You’ll also find a tempting choice of desserts including a fantastic selection of local cheese to round off your meal.
The extensive Wine List offers a carefully chosen; good value selection of both Old and New World wines, many available by the bottle or glass. All of your favourite Cocktails, Liquers and Digestifs are also here with a selection of high quality teas and coffees to finish.

Private Hire / Party Venue
The Habit is available for private Birthday, Wedding & Christening parties; for private Meetings and any other activity that means you need a perfect venue for larger numbers of friends, family or associates.
The Habit offers whole or part private hire; either ‘fully catered’ or with the option to self-cater; and is available for groups up to 100. They can also offer a fully licensed bar right through to 4am!
