Brilliant service. I tried a well known nationwide competitor, what a huge mistake. Yes I spent more money here but the glasses were ready on time and actually allowed me to see. The difference in service and quality between a major and John Biddle is more than worth the extra cost. Polite helpful informative and caring. Yes would highly recommend, thanks for "washing my eyes" for that is how it feels.
I have such a problem finding spectacles to fit and so many times I have left an optician with ill fitting unflattering and expensive glasses knowing that I will wear them as little as possible even it it does mean my falling down steps up kerbs or not being able to see the prices of things I want to buy. I went into John Biddle Opticians with a friend desperately searching for the elusive frame that will fit me and reflect my personality. I was so surprised all the staff took an immediate interest in me and my task in hand. I had never been able to try on so many pairs of glasses that actually fitted me. Then the pair that stole the show - they were so me! I am now the proud owner and wearer of a fantastic pair of shiney silver J.F.REY eyewear design. Thank you for all your time trouble patience and genuine concern in making sure that I had a pair of glasses I was happy with as opposed to just making do. They are really great. When I had contact lenses they spent ages helping me to get used to them. When I choose new glass I get a lot of help with finding some that suit me. Everyone is always really friendly and helpful.

I have been especially pleased with the service I received from your Shrewsbury Office. Firstly from the lady optician who diagnosed a cataract and referred me further so that now I am waiting an operation for this condition. Secondly for Simone who understood my need for softer lighter coloured frames and spent a great deal of time advising me. She also explained all the options available with the lenses in such a way that was clear to me.I have traipsed around all the opticians in Shrewsbury and you come out best with personal service.

Thank you for the excellent personal service you showed me recently when I renewed my glasses. It was a pleasure doing business with you, from the initial consultation through to the eye examination, and finally the appointment to have my new glasses checked and fitted. You displayed a level of personal and professional service that certainly wasn't matched by almost all the other opticians in Shrewsbury. I must admit I had left you until last, as I had presumed you to be somewhat expensive compared to the competition, but I guess that proves the old adage - you get what you pay for. However from the moment I walked into your branch I realised my money would be best spent with you. The young lady who is on reception (apologies, I can't remember her name), has a manner that almost all receptionists could benefit from copying. She has such a welcoming smile and attitude it just reassures you that you will be well looked after. She admirably proves that old fashioned service doesn't have to be 'old fashioned'. Having a courtesy call before my appointment was also a very nice touch, thank you. Rest assured that I will continue to come to you for all future eye tests and glasses - unless any of you leave, then I'll just have to hope you will train your replacements to exactly the same high standards.
I felt I had to write to express my gratitude for the way my wife was treated at your shop in Shrewsbury. We visited the shop to look at frames and armed with a prescription from Vision Express. The manageress (Simone) went far beyond any level of personal service I have ever encountered. The attention to detail, from choosing the correct frames which were not a stock item but appeared the following day, to the time taken to ensure that the frames were not only in the correct position but would also be comfortable on her face was most impressive. In fact we were so impressed that my wife ordered a pair of sunglasses and I will be back to order my glasses in the near future. Congratulations on choosing such caring staff (including Heather).
