I have such a problem finding spectacles to fit and so many times I have left an optician with ill fitting unflattering and expensive glasses knowing that I will wear them as little as possible even it it does mean my falling down steps up kerbs or not being able to see the prices of things I want to buy. I went into John Biddle Opticians with a friend desperately searching for the elusive frame that will fit me and reflect my personality. I was so surprised all the staff took an immediate interest in me and my task in hand. I had never been able to try on so many pairs of glasses that actually fitted me. Then the pair that stole the show - they were so me! I am now the proud owner and wearer of a fantastic pair of shiney silver J.F.REY eyewear design. Thank you for all your time trouble patience and genuine concern in making sure that I had a pair of glasses I was happy with as opposed to just making do. Thank you for stocking glasses that are different. JBO you're the tops!

Thank you for the excellent personal service you showed me recently when I renewed my glasses. It was a pleasure doing business with you, from the initial consultation through to the eye examination, and finally the appointment to have my new glasses checked and fitted. You displayed a level of personal and professional service that certainly wasn't matched by almost all the other opticians in Shrewsbury. I must admit I had left you until last, as I had presumed you to be somewhat expensive compared to the competition, but I guess that proves the old adage - you get what you pay for. However from the moment I walked into your branch I realised my money would be best spent with you. The young lady who is on reception (apologies, I can't remember her name), has a manner that almost all receptionists could benefit from copying. She has such a welcoming smile and attitude it just reassures you that you will be well looked after. She admirably proves that old fashioned service doesn't have to be 'old fashioned'. Having a courtesy call before my appointment was also a very nice touch, thank you. Rest assured that I will continue to come to you for all future eye tests and glasses - unless any of you leave, then I'll just have to hope you will train your replacements to exactly the same high standards.

I'd like to say a big thank you on behalf of my wife. Your optician's thorough test revealed a tumour behind her eyes. She has now been given the all clear and her doctor says that your speedy and accurate intervention has undoubtedly prevented a much worse situation from developing. Out heartfelt thanks.
