Employers
Electrical equipment used by employees and customers with access to the work space, must comply with EAWR (Electricity at Work Regulations).
In-service electrical equipment must be tested and a safety certificate issued, this includes all electrical appliances such as movable items connected to the mains supply by 13amp BS1363 plugs, BSEN60309-2 industrial plugs or hard wired via a fused connection unit (Spur).
Landlords
Electrical safety checks are recommended for landlords and Technical Testing Services have devised an electrical inspection designed specifically for rented residential properties.
Our electrical safety checks assess the safety of fixed installations (such as wiring) as well as PAT testing of portable/transportable appliances. Following our visit to the property we will provide the Landlord or Agent with a detailed Visual Inspection Survey report together with a Landlord’s Pass or Fail Certificate.
Our testing standards
Each appliance tested by Technical Testing Services must meet the exacting requirements of the IEE code of practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment and adheres to HSE Guidelines.
We use the latest computerised PAT testing equipment (Megger PAT4DV/3) and are able to test all portable appliances in your company including – IT Equipment, 415V, 110V, & 16A.
The inspection and testing will be carried out by a qualified electrical engineer.
