Everywhere I go, people comment on the lovely cut I have and that's not being big headed-it's down to Shades. My hair is thick and wavy and difficult to cut and dry as it has a life of it's own but I always not only come out of the salon really pleased but with an easy to manage cut for the next month or so. Even my husband and boys go there now-a family affair. That is not only testiment to the brilliant cutting etc but the fab prices (my hubby is very frugal!), but majorly because you can have a laugh, chat, heart to heart and truly feel welcome-I've been going for years and would never hesitate to recommend them. Nice one gals! xx

Lovely village location with easy parking. Wonderfully friendly girls and I've just had a fantastic Brazilian blow dry. So no longer look like a poodle. The children love coming here too ( always a lolly on offer). Very professional yet refreshingly relaxing

what a friendly place had my hair re-styled and coloured by kay what a fantistic job i was very worried about going as i havn't been for years they made me very welcome and relaxed, i real enjoyed my experience and will be going back , everybody loved my hair thank you to all the girls there xx

I have been visiting shades for the past 3 years Donna has always done a fantastic job and sorted a few messes that i have caused myself with box dyes. I have had a few bad experiences with hair dressers but since visiting Shades I wouldn’t get my hair done anywhere else

Donna, Kay & co, are always extremely professional, friendly and accommodating and i have never had any complaints. Donna is straight talking and will say if a style/colour will work or suit and gives expert advice not only about cuts and colours but about products too and you’re never pressured into anything like i have experienced with other salons.

Been visiting Shades for over 2 years now. It is one of the most honest and friendliest hairdressers I have ever been to (and there are not that many out there!!) Donna, Kay and co. offer great advice and continue to do the perfect colour and cut. It's lovely to go into a salon and be made to feel comfortable and at ease with your hairdresser; consistently achieving the perfect result. I now take my son there to get his hair cut and he is greeted with a fuss and even chocolates after his cut. Yum yum! Nothing for the girls is too much trouble; you are never left waiting and welcomed with warmth and a smile. Going to the hairdressers used to be a mundane chore; now I look forward to a gossip, new hair do and usually a well needed relaxing experience with friends who I have made. Thanks girlies - your fab!!!

I have always hated having my hair cut as I have never found anyone that would listen to what I wanted. I have been going to Shades since Donna took it over and have never been disappointed. The salon is always clean and tidy. Donna and her team are always happy, smiling and friendly. They listen to your wants no matter how trivial and give good honest advice. I am always pleased with the cut. My daughter loves going there too they always make a fuss of her and chat to her. Well done to all at Shades, may your success continue well into the future.

I have spent my life going to big salons and have always been nervous of smaller salons. I visited Shades last week however and was delighted with the experience. No waiting around, I was attended to immediately and Donna gave me her full attention. She is both friendly and professional and anyone who doesn't leave me sitting around feeling neglected with damp hair and towel has my vote.

I took my 10 yr old daughter to Shades for a cut and blow-dry. Not only were the staff very friendly but they took the time to make a fuss of my daughter, making her feel really special. The outcome was a very good cut at a good price.

What a find!! I have been to many hairdressers over the past year, looking for the right one! Iʼve found her!! I have had a number of bad experiences with hairdressers but Donna is different. She listens to your likes and dislikes and will advise you (not many salons seem to do that today). My hair is the best it has been in along while and the cut is fantastic, I can manage my hair at home which is wonderful. Thank you Donna, iʼll keep recommending you.

I have tried many hairdressers, and I have always left feeling slightly disappointed, but NOT this time. From the minute I entered the salon, I found Donna to be very approachable, helpful and honest, and she really listened to what I wanted. She was very informative and gives excellent customer service. A real find!

I recently went to Shades for a re-style. My hair is short, fine and very difficult to manage. Donna gave me a cut that is really easy to style every morning, and she actually listened to what I wanted - in my experience not all hairdressers do this, and it made a big difference.
