Social Enterprise Trade Fair
Thursday 19th November, Market Street, Bridgend town centre

Bridgend celebrates Global Social Enterprise Day with its first ever Social Enterprise Trade Fair on Thursday 19th November in Bridgend town centre.

What is a social enterprise? How does it differ from any other business?

A social enterprise is a business just like any other business but with primarily social objectives, whose surpluses are principally reinvested for that purpose or back into the community.

Local Social Enterprises are very diverse in the products and services they supply and their range covers:  cafes; gyms; furniture recycling; digital print services; care in the community; rosette manufacturers; fair trade & ethical products retailers; alternative therapies; credit unions; e-commerce companies and much more!

All these businesses demonstrate that enterprise can be used as a tool for social and environmental change.

Discover what social enterprises there are in Bridgend County, what they do and how they benefit the local community.
