For over ten years, Forest FM has been providing music and news to local people within East Dorset and the New forest.
The radio station has three very important aims:
• To support the local community by providing a focal point for common interest groups and organisations
• To provide musical alternatives to those currently available
• To offer an AFFORDABLE and EFFECTIVE radio advertising platform for local businesses.

Creating a sophisticated and interesting playlist
We break the week up into three distinct sections:
On WEEKDAYS , we take a subtle blend of classic, soft rock tracks and add in a lively assortment of oldies.
During the EVENINGS , we provide a superb variety of specialist music, such as jazz, indie, soul, heavy rock, country and western, R&B, 60s, pop, gospel, swing, rock 'n' roll and even some classical.
At the WEEKENDS , we continue our interesting mix of sounds throughout the day paying particular attention to families, and catering for both our younger audience and our more mature listeners.
Plus we focus heavily on community programming - news, interviews and special broadcasts - all designed to be of specific interest to our listeners in and around the New Forest.
