What's on in Bolton for Halloween 2014?

Halloween is of course on the 31st October and there’s lots happening across our awesome town of Bolton.

Smithills Farm are now taking bookings for their Halloween spectacular. Call them on 01204 875831 between 5pm and 8pm to book your place for the evening fun, as there’s no need to book and no cost to the day activities. It is £8 for the pm festivities.

Between Monday 27th October and 31st October (11am-3pm) there will be lots of daytime fun for young people to get involved in.

Then in the evening anybody over the age of 4 will love the creepy night time entertainment. It’s happening on Thursday 30th October, Friday 31st October and Saturday 1st November beginning at 5.45, 6.15 and 6.45pm. Dance the night away at the Halloween disco, turn up in your scary attire for the fancy dress competition and maybe win a prize for the best costume, trek the frightening farm trail, ride the haunted tractor, join in the spooky woodland walk and then tuck in to a delicious supper.

Fidgets are holding their ever popular Halloween party on Friday 31st October between 5 and 7pm. Book your tickets for just £8 by telephoning 01204 876691 or drop in to their play area to buy a ticket. During the 2 hour party there will be a fancy dress competition, disco, picnic and so much more besides. Tickets are expected to sell out really fast so you best book quickly if you want to attend with your child.

For the adults, Mecca Bingo are holding a warm up Halloween event. You can join in a pumpkin carving session and a lot more. 

Bromley Cross Library is gearing up for tons of Halloween fun. On Tuesday 28th October there will be arts and crafts between 3 and 4pm. Kids can unleash their creative side by making Halloween masks and other exciting arts activities. I’s free to come along and youngsters aged 4-11 will love it.

Then on Thursday 30th October, still at Bromley Cross Library their librarians will be reading out scary stories for little ones to listen too. Yet again, it’s a free event for 4-11 year olds and fancy dress is particularly welcomed.

On Halloween 31st October Smithills Hall will be playing host to a terrific nights of activities. It begins at 8pm on the 31st and last until the early hours of November 1st, 1.30am.

Simon Entwistle will lead a ghost walk around the building and see some of their more haunted landmarks. As well as that there will be talks on ghosts, spirits, mediumship and the paranormal, experiments to establish spirit contact (including the famous table tipping dowsing overshadowment EVP midnight séance), a ghost hunt and much more besides. This event is appropriate for over 18’s only and you can book tickets by calling 07957 972717.

On Saturday 1st November between 1 and 3pm Hall I’th Wood Museum are holding an arts and craft event. At no cost to you there will be creepy crafts for children to get stuck into. There’s no need to book either.

There is going to be a special Monster's Ball at The Bowling Green on Friday 31st October, starting at 3pm. 

The Last Drop Village will be playing host to a spooktacular halloween party on the day itself. It'll be fun for all the family. 

For the adults the Halloween party at The Crofters on 1st November will be interesting, with cocktails and a DJ all night long. 

There'll be an ace Halloween treat during Halloween at Edgworth Cricket Club, with lots of spine tingling events all week.
