Bolton Cancer Voices are looking forward to their debut performance alongside the renowned northern folk group The Houghton Weavers, in a joint venture – ‘Christmas at the Rock’, on Saturday 10th December 2016,7.30pm, at BuryParishChurch, The Rock, Bury.
Formed in 1975, The Houghton Weavers epitomise show business. Over the years they have appeared in many national television programmes, recorded at the famous Abbey Road Studio and appeared with such notable artistes as Billy Connolly, Phil Cool, Jasper Carrott and Norman Wisdom.With a fan base that extends across the globe, they have lost none of their popular appeal.
Karen Elliott, Chair of Bolton Cancer Voices said: -
‘We are thrilled to be joining forces with such a well-known and loved group, for what promises to be a night of fabulous Christmas music to get everyone in the festive spirit. After three years of presenting ‘Jingle Bell Sing-A-Long’, we decided to do something a bit different this year. This will be a great experience for our members and we hope our loyal audience will come along and support us in this new venture.’

As part of their Christmas programme, Bolton Cancer Voices can also be seen in concert at The Barlow Edgworth, on Sunday 4th December,7.15pm, when they will be presenting ‘Mulled Wine, Mince Pies and Music’. Tickets priced £8-00, with complimentary refreshments, are available from the Ticket Secretary.
