The shortlist for the 2014 Bolton and Bury Business awards has been revealed

There’s not much time left now till the Bolton and Bury Business Awards 2014 and we’re thrilled to say our members have been nominated in 5 of the 9 categories.

Chloe Ramsden of Alliance Learning has been nominated in the young person/apprentice of the year category. Chloe started working as an apprentice at Alliance Learning aged 16 in the engineering department, and now aged 24, has her own apprentice and has been promoted to Marketing Co-ordinator. She is also working towards her CIM Level 4, an equivalent to a foundation degree.

Carrs Pasties are one of the sponsors of the we’re backing Bolton/Bury Award, in which Bolton FM are nominated. Bolton FM is run entirely by volunteers and brings local news, music and opinion to the people of Bolton.

In the community award section, Bolton College are one of the nominees. They provide hundreds of full and part time courses, as well as supporting the local community with different projects.

Love Energy Savings are one of the nominees for the customer excellence award. All their staff are trained to give full, free, impartial advice and can access all the different energy suppliers in the UK.

Finally Dr Zuber Bagasi of Synergy Dental is in the running for business person of the year. He now has 6 surgeries and offers many different services and won many awards for this, including best dentist in Blackpool award for the past 2 years.

We’ll be crossing our fingers on the 11th September when the ceremony takes place and of course we’ll let you know how our members get on.
