Angela Kelly came on board as a member in November, we asked her a few questions of what it’s like to be in business and these are her answers!
1. What do you enjoy most about your business?
I love the diversity, spending time on the journalistic work and, separately, on the PR work. I was born with a love of words and expression, and with a basic nosiness about other people’s lives that has never abated! Now, being able to work with businesses as well and help them grow and develop feels like a real privilege and is always a challenge.
2. Who do you look up to in business?
I’m fascinated by the way that successful local businessmen like Chris Houghton from Eventura have built up their company with drive and passion, and in awe of the knowledge of business advisors like Ross Bullock, Jenny Matthews and Jeanne Kelly.
3. What’s in your fridge right now?
A very large number of vegetables because my husband Rob and I love to start the day with a juiced drink (usually a strange green colour that tastes fab), lean minced meat, cheese, yoghurts and two bottles of wine because life’s too short not to enjoy a glass of wine.
4. What do you do to relax when you’re away from work?
I’ve always loved playing sports and am a particular fan of badminton (I play in local leagues and masters’ tournaments). I also love reading and always have a book on the go, and enjoy watching TV especially good drama, films and really trashy reality TV.
