Finish your DIY during national maintenance week 2014

If you’ve got some unfinished jobs to do in your home, then national maintenance week could be the week to do it.

This week it’s between November 21st and 28th so you’ve got a bit of time to start planning what work needs to be done. The end of the week (28th) is also national gutters day so check your gutters for any wear or tear.

The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings organized the week and have said the week is aimed at all houses, regardless of their age. They do recommend though that if you have an older property that needs repairs, try and use materials and fixtures that are sympathetic to the era of the building.

Famous faces like Griff Rhys Jones have shown their support to the campaign.

However, if DIY isn’t for you, here at the best of Bolton we’ve got the tradespeople you need to do all the jobs for you.

Silverglide are very experienced builders who continuously maintain homes and commercial properties for their Bolton customers.

Danmarque will maintain the part of a house that is often neglected, the garage. If it is damaged, you may not need a new garage, it could just need new fixtures and fittings.

Westwood Electrical can do any electrical work for you, Sykes Joinery can fit doors and a lot more and VPS Plumbing will complete any plumbing problems on your behalf.
