Bolton Lads & Girls Club’s Young Leaders Project is delighted to have reached the semi-finals of The National Lottery Awards.

The Awards are an annual search to find the UK’s favourite Lottery-funded projects, and they aim to celebrate and recognise the difference that those projects have made to people, places and communities all across the UK. The Young Leader’s Project is competing against nine other projects for the title of Best Education Project, in association with Best magazine.

Why vote for Young Leaders?

  • It has had a fantastic impact on the club, training up 50 young people from the senior club aged 14+ from disadvantaged backgrounds to work in the junior club and holiday club with young people aged 8-12 years from the same communities.
  • Young Leaders have delivered over 1000 hours of fun and innovative activity programmes whilst providing peer support, guidance and acted as positive role models.
  • Through the extensive training programme young leaders have hugely improved their own future prospects and progressed into college, full time employment and further volunteering work in other aspects of their communities.

We could be in with the chance of appearing on a BBC One show, and we need your vote to help us win! Please support us - just visit:
