2nd February 2011

On the 5th February 2011, 12 members of staff from DRL Limited are hosting the fundraising event ‘Bolton’s Got Talent’ at the De Vere White’s Hotel at the Reebok Stadium.

The night will be packed full of entertainment  and amazing raffle prizes.

The Lion of Vienna Suite holds approximately 300 people. We have put up posters around the local area and the event is in the local paper. Bolton News will also be covering the event and we are aiming to raise as much as possible! Tickets are £10 each available from Ailsa Simpson 01204 672453 or 07590466220.

The purpose of the event is to raise money for Bolton Lad’s and Girls Club. On the 5th March, a group of 12 colleagues Including myself are travelling to Tanzania to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and we have a massive target of £50,000 to raise!

Please take a look at our website: http://www.kilimanjarohike.org

Why are we raising the money?

Bolton Lad’s and Girls Club (BLGC) is the UK’s largest youth centre, and we are raising the money because we are facing something of a crisis. The world often conspires to be a cruel place and BLGC are not immune. Largely due to the current economic climate they have a massive increase in the demand for their services from vulnerable children at a time when unfortunately also due to the current financial situation their funding is at its lowest point for years.

BLGC give young vulnerable individuals support, mentoring and a sometimes just a safe place to be away from all the abuse and neglect they face on a daily basis. BLGC truly help them turn their lives around and the success stories are many and would make even the toughest men shed a tear.

 What we need!

We are looking for companies who are interested in sponsoring us in any of the two following ways:

  •  Money – An official sponsor
  •  Prizes – To raffle at our charity events to raise money for our charity and the climb.

We are currently in contact with the local and national press and media to feature our journey to the top –These include Bolton News, Manchester Evening News, North West Tonight and various radio stations. We already have a slot in the Daily Mirror in February.

We will be blogging, posting reviews and links from our bloghttp://kilimanjarohike.org/ which will serve as a location for your exposure and be optimised to feature well in Google for key terms.

We can advertise your company via Social Media advertising through our strong Facebook and Twitter @AppOnline accounts (Twitter 2445 followers plus 2556 Facebook).

It is all for a great cause and it set to be a fantastic night!
