Until earlier this year I had had my dentistry done by the NHS whilst my wife had shown wisdom many years ago when she chose True Dentistry. Because of her satisfaction with their treatment and what I saw of the practice in operation on the occasions that I waited for her whilst enjoying their excellent coffee I decided to treat myself. It was a revelation, I had always been impressed with the approach, professionalism and friendliness of Angela the Practice Manager, the Dental Nurses, Lubna herself and Tracey Smith the Hygienist it was a delight to see this carried through into the surgeries. Lubna is most thorough, always starting her examination process with a thorough check from both inside and outside the mouth for oral cancer. She takes photographs and, where necessary X-rays, of any areas of the mouth, teeth and gums which arouse her concern and then carefully and unhurriedly explains what is wrong, using as appropriate the images she has taken so that I am fully able to understand what is wrong, what the treatment options are and what her recommended one is. I never feel under pressure to have treatment but being sensible I do. Never before have I been able to have comfortable and completely painless dental treatment and the results are outstanding. Tracey, the hygienist, is just as deserving of praise. I have never experienced such thorough cleaning and was staggered at the before and after difference, particularly on the inside edges of my teeth which were photographed before and after treatment, talk about reaching the parts other hygienists / dentists do not consider! Again her work is extremely thorough, painstaking and completely pain free. Especially important is her advice on what I can do for myself and I have changed my entire teeth cleaning routine with very satisfying results. Tracey, like the rest of the team, takes a great pride in her work and is always concerned that I am comfortable, understand what she is doing and why and helps make a visit to the dentist something that I look forward to. I am not just a number, nor a quantity of money into the practice coffers. Yes, private treatment is more expensive than the NHS but ultimately you get what you pay for in terms of both visible results, improved oral health and a reduced need for future treatments due to proper maintenance and care. Add to this the fact that a private dentist is not constrained by the cost of materials used, as unfortunately is the case with the NHS, and thus is able to use, ultimately at the discretion of the patient, the best materials and care pathways available and which they feel to be in the best interests of the patients long term health and finances. I am convinced that the lifetime cost of private dental care is not dramatically different to that of the NHS. I am a big fan of True Dentistry and cannot recommend them too highly.

I have recently started a course of treatment here and was amazed at the work needing to be carried out due to hidden decay which my previous dentist had not identified. I feel confident that the work does need to be carried out as x-rays and photos were taken of each suspect area and the proof was there to be seen. The treatment is carried out in a very gentle and pain free way, with explanations at every step.

I have always had problems with my gums, and have seen a number of dentists, all of whom essential guaranteed to make the problems go away. They didn't. After one consultation with Lubna, she decided to take on my mouth as a personal challenge to herself and the True Dentistry team. It has been a revelation. The True Dentistry team have done what a whole host of others could not, and for this I cannot thank them enough, let alone recommend them. There has been an immediate improvement, and whilst there is still some way to go, there is no dental practice I would rather be at than True Dentistry.

I would like to register/share with you my support for True dentistry. Lubna has been my dentist for approximately four years now. When I first met Lubna I was an extremely nervous patient as a result of my previous dentists not taking the time to reassure me. As a result of Lubna's professionalism and her beautiful nature, she has empowered me to cope adequately in her chair with some major dentistry repairs, which previously would definitely have resulted in tooth loss. In addition to the work Lubna has performed on me, I have also had a Titanium Implant fitted very successfully by Mr. Perkins who I am extremely grateful to. Please do not cut corners when embarking on an implant. My experience was one of assured care and back-up and I personally would recommend you to consult staff at the practice before you decide to go elsewhere. In addition, my teeth and gums are also in the expert care of Tracy, the practice's resident hygienist, who is very professional and very knowledgeable about new innovations for teeth and gums. My teeth and gums have improved dramatically since Tracy took charge. The reception staff are very professional and I look forward to seeing you all in the New Year. Dr Lubna is a very experienced Orthodontist, with just under 30 years of experience, she knows her stuff, and she knows how to explain in simple English, no gobble de goop. She's straight to the point, no beating round the bush, no hard selling technique, no emotional selling, we felt she was truly honest and brave enough to sacrifice her time for the interest of the patient. We did not feel she was after our money at anytime, even though the opportunity was there, due to the condition of my wife's teeth. Dr Lubna did not expect to spend more than 15 minutes with us but she spent 2 hours without a frown on her face, or the staffs face. Dr Lubna showed she cared so much, she was expressing her true feeling, if only she had met my wife 20 years ago, 15 years ago, 10 years ago, she could have helped her and her teeth may not be in this bad condition. Dr Lubna discussed in detail the A-Z scenario of what the future looks like for my wife's teeth. Dr Lubna gave us all the options available. Dr Lubna also discussed the importance of the financial element, she did put the important aspect of the healthy side over the cosmetic side and the long term issues. Dr Lubna treated my wife like a member of her own family, she felt very relaxed, comfortable and in safe hands,my wife felt she was being looked after by her big sister, we did not feel their was any hidden agenda of making money out of us.
