I've been down to Bolton therapy Centre on a few occasions with problems on my knees. Being a plumber I've been told this is an occupational hazard but Karen Wilcock used some of the specialist equipment they have to treat my knee in a way I didn't know was possible. This combined with advice from Karen , I now have a new found respect for just how delicate and important that my knees are. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Karen to any of my friends or family.

Karen gives great exercises and really knows about backs; in fact the one exercise she gave me over a year ago is still the best help for my back.

I attend for treatment every 3 months with the PAM machine for my back. I’ve also had treatment for knee and shoulder complaints. I’m delighted with the result on all counts and would thoroughly recommend Karen and staff.

Two words to summarise the feedback on the injection therapy you performed on my left knee ……… bloody fantastic! I rested completely for about 5 or 6 days, then a few very light jogs, then pretty much back to normal. Since then, my knee has endured some pretty severe tests including a fell race with 8000’ of climbing / descent and a three-day race series (I even won one of the races!) – all without the slightest whimper, grumble or complaint. Perhaps I could purchase a few gallons of whatever was in the injection, and bathe in it every night. Many thanks for your help.

I have known Karen Willcock for over 20 years. A most warm, energetic and professional Physiotherapist you would EVER meet! I would most definitely recommend Karen. As a massage and holistic therapist I need to take care of my back and posture. Karen has treated me on various occasions, with her exceptional knowledge and expert skills.(She would make a fantastic teacher!) Enabling me to carry on with my profession without any further problems.

I came to see Karen and had 5 sessions of physiotherapy treatment. She said she thought she wouldn’t help me any further but would try electro acupuncture and one session and I had no more pain and I tell everybody to go to see Karen.

It's a friendly but professional business. The owner, Karen inspires confidence in my ability to recover when I had 2 years of treatment following a car accident. She tailors the treatment you need after a thorough assessment and understanding of what is needed. There are treatment you can choose to have and the choice is personal never coercive. I felt free to ask questions, I had all the information I needed to adjust my life and recover over time. Although I was diagnosed with a chronic condition, Karen and the centre have been there to help me when I had pain or needed something to help me live with my condition. This kind of care is priceless. Karen works hard to promote health and her work which is built on years of professional qualifications and NHS experience. Karen and Bolton Therapy Centre have a holistic approach to patient care and treatment and patients are treated as individuals. It’s not just an excellent business, its part of the community and Karen works so hard to raise awareness about looking after your health and keeping healthy to prevent many conditions which could make people ill, ie back /spinal care. This kind of business is rare in my experience and I can recommend Bolton Therapy Centre highly, as a patient and NHS healthcare professional.
