Backup North West provided me with unparalleled support during my time of need, allowing me to complete my A-Levels and move on to University. It plays an essential role for many vulnerable young people and over the last few years, with the help of their amazing CEO Maura and a cohort of great staff, has expanded rapidly and efficiently. Because of this I would argue it is not only a great service for young people but it is also a successful and efficient business.

I would like to nominate Backup Northwest for business of the year award.
The money is used helping young adults have room and board in an environment that is home from home with care staff members whose focus is helping these youngsters find employment and helping them back on their feet.
It’s an amazing company as without Backup some of these young adults would have been abandoned and sleeping in the streets.

Not only does BACKUP Northwest provide a priceless and essential service in continuing to prevent homelessness and promote independent living to young people. It provides its service users and staff with: Respect, Empowerment, Development and Consistency.
It’s its also a little sad that it has to continue to expand to achieve its mission yet it has done so in a professional and strategic manner.
BACKUP’s operational model can only be admired as it put people first.

I firmly believe in this charity - not only do they offer a roof to young homeless or sofa surfing young adults but they give everything they need to survive as an adult. They offer the information and teach how to live, work, go to collage or university, manage bills - life skills
Nothing is more important than life skills - learning wrong/right - how to manage money - time - work - how to apply for jobs
This charity is a Bolton business doing the best they can to our community

Backup NW IS one of the best charities in Bolton and indeed the North. Full of dedicated staff, committed to their roles in ensuring young people who are homeless and at the lowest time of their short lives are safe, valued and have their basic needs met. Commissioned to deliver services they go way and beyond what’s expected because they give a dam. They’ve expanded and grown with the sole purpose of helping more young people to thrive; and in some minority of cases just stay alive! In doing so they’ve created jobs and economy for Bolton and raised the profile of the town too. Brilliant service.

This is an amazing charity who work tirelessly for young homeless people, offering a HUGE range of services. I have worked with this charity for a few years now and have been so impressed with their fund raising events to help support these young people. It is also a place were staff are well looked after and supported too and I have been honoured to have been asked to do some work with staff; everything from one to one coaching sessions, stress angel (offering a range of holistic therapy treatments), meditation sessions, stress awareness sessions and have also offered the stress angel holistic therapies to young people. The charity have been nominated for many awards which tells you what a wonderful charity it is. A wonderful charity who highlight the plight of young homeless people to the people who matter; thus making a HUGE difference to the lives of the young people who use the service.
