Jane Legg herself is testament to the powers of Reiki as an alternative therapy. Jane, diagnosed with MS nine years ago, experienced amazing results when she was introduced to Reiki. Sceptical at first, she was surprised at the positive effect upon her symptoms.
Jane then decided to learn the art of Reiki herself. She completed her First, Second, and finally Masters Degree, and now offers healing treatments from her special room in central Bognor Regis, at Regis Reiki. As a therapist herself she has had good results with a variety of conditions, including IBS, depression, anxiety, recovery from chemotherapy and surgery, arthritis, migraines, emotional pain and grief, and of course MS.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese relaxation technique with many healing benefits. It restores balance and harmony within the mind, body and soul, by channelling the healing energy through the hands of the practitioner. This accelerates the body’s own natural ability to heal.
Reiki is not a form of faith healing. It is a totally non-denominational practice and is open to everybody.
Reiki is an alternative therapy used in various situations including private practice, alternative therapy and complementary therapy centres, GP surgeries, hospices, hospitals, post-operative recovery, cancer support groups, drug rehabilitation, prisons, HIV/AIDS centres, as well as in the care of the elderly. Jane runs a clinic every Monday in Occupational Health at The Body Shop Headquarters in Littlehampton for Body Shop Employees.
A Reiki Treatment
A Reiki treatment with Jane of Regis Reiki feels like a wonderful radiance flowing through the body. Some people feel a tingling sensation, or a comforting warmth as the energy in the body is realigned.
During the treatment the practitioner channels energy into the body by lightly and non-intrusively placing the hands in a sequence of positions on, or just above, the body.
The client remains fully clothed whilst lying comfortably on a massage couch for treatment, in a relaxing candle-lit healing room, with meditative music to add to the calm atmosphere.
Whilst being treated the client may experience many different sensations - heat, cold or a tingling sensation as the energy is absorbed and adapted to the needs of the receiver.
A one hour Reiki Treatment session at Regis Reiki costs just £20. Longer should be allowed for your first visit. Home visits can be made in the local area to Bognor Regis, and cost £25.
