I have been to Johnʼs premises, which are in a picturesque little corner of Blackburn opposite the cathedral and behind the beautiful classicist building of Lloydʼs Bank, a nice place to sit down, inside (or out, when the sun is shining). He offers interesting foods and unusual flavours, say Chili flavoured ice cream. Worth coming for just to tell the story to your friends. Johnʼs food is not only eccentric but also tasty.

I am a strict vegetarian and found plenty of food suitable for me.

Just a few days ago I attended a business event for which John and his team had done the catering, and the variety and quality of food was really exceptional, and again enough to my own peculiar vegetarian orientation: marinaded olives, unusual cheeses etc.

If all organisers of business events asked John to do the catering, I would go to more business events - just for the food. Who wants to earn money when he can have such good food for free!

I visited the Deli today, As always John was welcoming and very hospitable - you feel like you are dropping in to see a friend. Tastes and treats are always offered even for the vegetarian. Advice is always offered and gratefully received. I learn something new with each foray into the Chili LIme deli. Excellent produce and fantastic service.

A really good deli - great choice and quality - very helpful and friendly staff. Well worth a visit.
