I needed a few driving lessons to get me back into driving after being at University for three years without a car. Lee was brilliant; patient, calm and very reassuring. I would definitely recommend Lee, I was a particularly nervous driver, but now I am much more confident. He explains how to drive in a really easy way and doesn't over complicate things. I also had a lesson on the motorway with him, for which he was again brilliant!

I first started learning with Lee a couple of years ago, only doing so due to pressure from work having had serious phobias of driving since i was a child. I found Lee calm, patient, positive and encouraging.
Having let things slide until july 2011, I once again started learning with Lee. Despite my often poor attitude to advice, Lee was always there for me, very understanding and never gave up on me even when I had.
After 3 failed tests (all down to extreme nerves and anxiety)I was ready to give up but Lee had total belief in me and persuaded me to book another test, he'd never doubted my driving ability and this was plain to see.
2 weeks ago I took my fourth and, I'm pleased to say, final test and was finally successful!!
Lee's a great guy, always good fun, patient, cheerful and is very understanding when things aren't quite going right or when you just can't get something. I also had a motorway lesson this week then drove 280 miles the next day! I couldn't have done it without him

Driving with him is a pleasure, which is coupled with his interesting personality (as a thespian and cyclist who has completed the Land's End to John O'Groats challenge for charity).

Lee always remains calm and attentive- this isn't just a job for him. His methods (debriefing and mock tests) are second to none. Lee understands how his students feel, and knows how to handle these feelings in the most suitable manner. At £25/ an hour, Lee provides exactly what you would expect from a driving instructor- and more! (The turbo diesel engine being one factor).

Having passed first time, I can safely say that i've never been let down by this instructor. I look forward to completing my pass plus with him!

The day before yesterday I passed my driving test at Bishop Stortford test centre with only a single minor fault. This is a particularly high score...and it's all thanks to Lee's exceptionally patient, informed style of teaching. He is fun, sympathetic and inspires confidence in anybody. I am 44 years old and had a lifelong dread of driving having been knocked down early in life. In my twenties I failed my driving test 5 times. After a twenty year gap I came to Lee and after a fail in August I passed with flying colours this week because Lee had faith in me and taught be the best techniques to be a good driver, not just for the test, but for life. Passed my test last week - I'd never driven outside my lessons so its all down to Lee. A good guy too....I actually looked forward to lessons. Can't recommend him highly enough as an instructor. He's good. Book him!

I passed my test a few years ago with Lee as my driving instructor. Right from the first lesson to the day I passed he managed to keep me confident and relaxed...which is hard believe me! A great guy and great instructor. Couldn't ask for more.I would recommend him to anybody.

I joined Lee, after my older brother passed successfully with him. I was told Lee was a great instructor. After my first lesson he was above my expectations! Lee is great instructor, makes you feel very comfortable at the wheel, and teaches you step by step how to become a good driver. Furthermore he is genuinely a very nice guy and learning to drive with him was a fun experience. I would highly recommend Lee to anyone looking to learn how to drive in a comfortable environment, with a patience and knowledgeable instructor.

My friend recommended Lee to me and I'm glad she did! I found it so easy to learn with Lee and felt very comfortable in every lesson. Lee is very easy to get along with and I found that this helped me in a massive way as I felt comfortable enough to say when I wasnt happy with something and we could then discuss it further. It also made me look forward to the lessons and I was eager to learn.

I just passed my driving test thanks to Lee Gosden! I drove in the US for 10 years, then in the UK for the past year before having to take the dreaded UK driving test...I found out that I had picked up some poor driving habits, which I knew would be hard to change. Lee was very patient with me and always explained the reasoning behind various driving rules, which helped me pass the test on the first go! I can honestly say that I didn't just learn the skills for the test, but I'm a much better driver now and feel more confident on the road....and I can finally park properly!! There is NO way I could have passed the test without Lee's instruction. I would most definitely recommend him for any driver!! I can see why his students have such a high pass rate!

i will and have recomended lee to many of my friends as a driving instructor. i had never been behind the wheel of a car before i started my lessons with lee so was very nervous, he is a very good teacher and down to earth,he will tell you when you are getting things wrong and explain the right way to do them in as much detail as you need,from the very first lesson i had with lee i felt very at ease and confident all the nerves i had before just seemed to dissapear.
Even though ive been having lessons for a while now and havent passed yet having lee as my instructer has encouraged me to continue, with every lesson i have with him im always learning something new or picking up things that i didnt the week before he makes all instructions very clear and easy to understand.
He is a very calm and patient person and have gained a loyal friendship within this.

My friend introduced me to Lee who helped me to rebuild my confidence. I learnt to drive with Lee and would recommend him as a driving instructor. He aimed to make lessons enjoyable, provided practical experience balanced with theory. He was patient and found varied ways of explaining different techniques. I found him supportive and easy to get along with. I started driving lessons with Lee Gosden as my sister had recommended him; she had previously had 2 different driving instructors who had never been able to get her to a high standard. Lee is a very calm and patient driving instructor who is always willing to take it at a pace that suits the pupil. He will always explain why you may have made a mistake and then teach you how to get pass it and ensure that it doesn’t occur again. I think the best thing about Lee’s teaching style is that he teaches pupils how to drive for life not just to pass the test, which is essential to remain a safe driver. I think the reason why Lee’s pupils have been so successful and who have stayed safe and good drivers long after their test is because you can tell he enjoys his job and is motivated and determined to teach you all the skills he can which makes driving lessons fun and enjoyable.
