Orelle, the newest restaurant to join Birmingham’s restaurant and bar scene has arrived, officially opening to the public on Friday 14 October following an exclusive launch party for the city.

With unrivalled, panoramic views of Birmingham and beyond, the 88-cover restaurant, located on the 24th floor of 103 Colmore Row, offers a unique setting for guests looking to experience a glamorous and vibrant dining and drinking experience.

Open seven days a week for lunch, dinner and cocktails, the restaurant showcases a menu created by Head Chef, Chris Emery who previously held positions at Jason Atherton’s The Clocktower in New York, Michelin-starred Pollen Street Social in London and most recently The Alice in Oxford. Giving a modern twist on classic French dishes, the a la carte menu celebrates the best of British produce and the simplicity of the ingredients, with Chris noting he wanted to “Let the quality of the ingredients speak for themselves”.

One of Birmingham’s most experienced bar managers, Tiago Bastos, previously Bar Manager of The Grand Hotel is mixing up a bespoke and exciting menu of contemporary and classic serves. The marble-topped bar offers equally breath-taking views and is available to book until 1am.

Meanwhile, the ground floor Orelle Café is open for breakfasts, brunches and lunches during the day, transforming into an intimate cocktail bar in the evening. It features the original cast aluminium banking doors paying tribute to the site’s heritage as the former National Westminster House; with the abstract triangular pattern based on the NatWest identity taking centre stage amongst finely detailed golden metalwork, and richly veined marble floors throughout.

David Loewi, CEO of D&D London said, “We’ve been excited to open in Birmingham for some time now – the city’s reputation for good food goes from strength to strength and we’re delighted to finally open our doors and add to what continues to be a fantastic restaurant scene.”
