Experiencing 'MINT' Bangladeshi and Indian Cuisine
Tucked away a little off the beaten track in Yardley, you will find 'Mint'. This is an Indian and Bangladeshi Restaurant that offers a great night out. They pride themselves on a great service in an award winning restuarant that serves very tasty cuisine.
My wife and I ate there and sampled 3 of their signature dishes all of which were distinctive, beautifully balanced prepared and very tasty indeed. We tried their lamb shank which was perfectly cooked in a lovely casserole type gravy. The meat was very tender and literally fell away from the bone. It was served with a variety of vegetables again all cooked well. The sea bass dish was very good indeed as well as their curried shrimp dish all three are considered as a Mint signature dish. Depending on your preference all these dishes whilst being distinctively different are a winner in their own right.
We finished our meals off with the their 'cheese cake' a speciality of theirs prepared freshly as often as needed exclusively for Mints diners by one of the owners wives. We were told that unfortunately this recipe is a 'secret' that they won't be giving away. Indian restaurants don't tend to place much attention on deserts however Mint have found a winner with their cheese cake and if you enjoy a nice desert at the end of your curry this is a recommended must.
They are unique as they offer some very good EVENT evenings. Look out for their "cheese and wine nights" - check out our events section under thebestof Birmingham EVENTS held every month, also their Bollywood nights with special dancers in traditional indian dress something distinctively different to other Indian restaurants giving it's diners an enjoyable fun night out.
