When I was out and about a few weeks ago I visited a local company called The Music Academy and part of what they do is they allow children to come in record their own song to a backing track and they then burn that onto a cd for them to take home. I thought this was a fantastic idea, especially because it's very different.
The parties consist of many children and is of very good value. This is something that would definitely appeal to me, would be a great idea to do this for my little girl and boy, but I think maybe she would appreciate it more than he would.
