The aims and objectives of the 12 Hour Paediatric First Aid course are to equip all attendees working within childcare, or those caring for babies and children, with a sound knowledge and understanding of adult, child and baby first aid procedures. All attendees will also be able to recognise childhood medical conditions and carry out the correct emergency treatment required until medical professionals arrive to assist.
This qualification meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage and is recognised by OFSTED for anyone working in professional childcare. The training also meets the guidance laid down by the HSE (Health & Safety Executive) for the Appointed Person in the Workplace certificate. This course includes a practical assessment and multiple-choice examination. Candidates must attend both course dates.
